Sorry!

I know, its been a while. But i have been on Facebook a lot and keeping my friends updated there. As of right now, still no job. Still searching and still collecting unemployment. I will however put in to sub teach starting after school starts......

I took Gabe to a couple of barrel races last weekend for his first time out with no shoes and since Memorial day. Surprise! He won the 4d on Satuday and almost hit the 3D on Sunday! Junior was there in Marshall on Sunday and saw my run. As you know, he was the one that broke Joe and he did a tune up on Gabe for an hour. That is not much, but he knows my horse, knows me and has watched us run on many occasions. Anyhow, he saw my run and I asked him "what did I do right?" He laughed at me and told me that Gabe and I did great and not to change a thing. Coming from him, that was a BIG pat on the back! We are now running in a Chain mouth bit (like a curb chain not bike chain) and the tie down. We are running in a saddle I won back in 1996...my very first saddle to win. For some reason, we "click" in that git up and our runs that weekend were great!!!! I felt like a barrel racer again!!!

Another thing we did different was the magnetic hock wraps and doubled up on our pureform joint supplement. It seems we have some arthritis going on. well with the combo of those two things, we totally enhanced our runs. Now if I can just get someone to help me purchase the PHT Magnets for Gabe so I can return the borrowed ones, we will be in good shape. I am using the magnetic bell boots to keep good blood flow to the front hooves and the farrier said its amazingly working. The 2-1 hock wraps are helping to keep the hocks mobile. The supplement is helping to lubricate the joints and keep the inflammation down. The PHT magnets that i am using now are on loan and total to about $250 worth of equipment......Oh and I have been using them on myself as well. Sure is helping with my tendinitis.

As for myself, we are still having issues with me getting out of bed...I hurt so bad, but I normally hit the ground running regardless of the pain. I have not gotten to ride much this week due to a sinus infection and the rain. Rain is awesome! Perhaps our grass will last until November again like it did last year!!

Joe is coming along great. He has now had two different trips for exhibitioning and really seems to find the barrels first instead of typical kid looking around. So that is a plus in my book!!!

Yay for you and Gabe! I'm glad he's doing good. Sorry you're hurting in the mornings. I can only imagine how yucky that must be.
