WBR Waco right around the corner

I am totally excited!! I got my draw numbers today and I will be sporting my Yellow Pureform shirts.....Because they are the reason why my horse can still run! Anyhow, business is going OK. Still not sustainable income, but I am in for Sub teaching locally and I have a job interview coming him....dont want to jinx it, so gonna stay quiet.....Anyhow, all is well at the Myer's place. joe kinda started coughing but his cough free got here today. So he can resume riding tomorrow. Gabe is looking good and after he put his whole back end through the side of the barn, he looks awesome...lol Jeff healed up his wounds with Aloe Advantage (check it out on my website) in the week that I was in OKC with my Mom. Mom called needing some help....So I drove up there and spent a week. It was nice to get away, but i was ready to go home after a few days...I get home sick quick!! Specially when I am used to being able to sit down and relax at home..not at my moms....she was going and blowing...Anyhow, she is fine and I think back to work now.
Lynx is coming home from his 3 months of training Labor Day. He is doing good according to Dee....She said she loves him! She took him out trail riding and he did great even with the scary horse eating monsters.....I cant wait to see him again. He is missed at my house!!!
Looks like we will get a couple cows...well one bred heifer and one cow with a calf...need it for ag exept on the land. We had been allowing our friend to put cattle over here from time to time, but this time, they will be ours. I picked the best of the herd. I am excited!! All black and the calf is a heifer calf too.

I will post the video of Lynx as soon as she posts it!!! I have been keeping up with everyone on facebook...but I know sometimes I need to get over here and do my little journal!!

Sorry!

I know, its been a while. But i have been on Facebook a lot and keeping my friends updated there. As of right now, still no job. Still searching and still collecting unemployment. I will however put in to sub teach starting after school starts......

I took Gabe to a couple of barrel races last weekend for his first time out with no shoes and since Memorial day. Surprise! He won the 4d on Satuday and almost hit the 3D on Sunday! Junior was there in Marshall on Sunday and saw my run. As you know, he was the one that broke Joe and he did a tune up on Gabe for an hour. That is not much, but he knows my horse, knows me and has watched us run on many occasions. Anyhow, he saw my run and I asked him "what did I do right?" He laughed at me and told me that Gabe and I did great and not to change a thing. Coming from him, that was a BIG pat on the back! We are now running in a Chain mouth bit (like a curb chain not bike chain) and the tie down. We are running in a saddle I won back in 1996...my very first saddle to win. For some reason, we "click" in that git up and our runs that weekend were great!!!! I felt like a barrel racer again!!!

Another thing we did different was the magnetic hock wraps and doubled up on our pureform joint supplement. It seems we have some arthritis going on. well with the combo of those two things, we totally enhanced our runs. Now if I can just get someone to help me purchase the PHT Magnets for Gabe so I can return the borrowed ones, we will be in good shape. I am using the magnetic bell boots to keep good blood flow to the front hooves and the farrier said its amazingly working. The 2-1 hock wraps are helping to keep the hocks mobile. The supplement is helping to lubricate the joints and keep the inflammation down. The PHT magnets that i am using now are on loan and total to about $250 worth of equipment......Oh and I have been using them on myself as well. Sure is helping with my tendinitis.

As for myself, we are still having issues with me getting out of bed...I hurt so bad, but I normally hit the ground running regardless of the pain. I have not gotten to ride much this week due to a sinus infection and the rain. Rain is awesome! Perhaps our grass will last until November again like it did last year!!

Joe is coming along great. He has now had two different trips for exhibitioning and really seems to find the barrels first instead of typical kid looking around. So that is a plus in my book!!!
