Im Home! Its Our 1 Year Anny! Got A New Horse!

A lot has been going on over the last 4 days! We went to the ranch with Chivas in tow along with the 4-wheeler and chainsaw. Sounds like fun, right? Well, We went to trade Chivas with my new colt "ZBar Lynx To Cash" who is a 15hh yearling!!! He is HUGE!!! I LOVE HIM!:~) Jeff ended up cutting up trees. We got some firewood though!
I am feeling better. Butt is healing. However, my back is killing me today! Dang it! Also, my co-worker is still giving me grief...but I guess I am going to have to ignore her. All in all, I am thankful to have a great hubby and my new pony! :)

Ho Hum

OK, I am having a day and a half...First, I have to tell my co-worker that she did something wrong...if you have ever read anything before, you know that links to disaster. She tends to get all upset and then tries to justify everything that she does or did not do...Makes for a LONG day. Basically, I have to nod my head and play the game. Then, I go to the chiro and he says I have a rotated spine on top of an uneven hips along with scoliosis. Then, he adjust me and I leave. I go back to work and get stuck by the train. I get back with a great idea, present it to my co-worker and she managed to ask me the same question five times... I am tired...So then I have to go back to the doctor to hear about my x-rays. I wait 45 minutes for her to tell me that I need to go to the CHIROPRACTOR!! OMG I know i did not just wait for that!! Them she goes on to tell me to loose 20 pounds.......OK, i say...HOW? Anyhow, so other than being fat, sore, and having to deal with the dumb, i am OK. I cannot wait for the weekend!!! We are going to the ranch....I need it!! My butt is feeling better....kinda....but I have a LONG way to go...

Update

Well, Since the stupid Hurricane, We lost power and Got it back last Wednesday. It was interesting. Glad it is all over. So, here is some updates. I have relocated Chivas from our pasture to Brooke's pasture. She is being weaned right now then this coming weekend, she will be moving to Navasota and Jeff and I will pick up our yearling! :) I am very excited! I cannot wait to get the little guy! Anyhow, we will also be celebrating our anniversary. Not sure how "fun" it will be with me being a little "disabled" right now. Joe managed to really jack up my tail bone and they also found out that I have scoliosis. YUCK. Anyhow, thus reason why my back always HURTS!! So, not much they can do. I have picked back up with the chiropractor. He sees me 3 times this week and next to be re-evaluated at the end of two weeks. Of course, both he and the doctor say "Stay off the Damn Horses!!!" I say "Kiss My Ass!" However, I am heading their advice for now until i can sit a little easier. I hate the nauseating pain that i have right now. I know I need to keep Gabe and Joe ridden, so Brooke is helping me with that! Joe is in her barn and her mare is over in my pasture. The good news is, once I go back to riding, we both have someone to ride with! I have been told that it can be a while for the "broke ass" to heal. Might never heal. So, i have also sworn off riding difficult horses. Oh and Joe threw me BECAUSE.....he is hurting in his shoulder. He has been hurting for 2 months now. Hard to see it and I guess I did not see it that day. He apparently bucks when he is asked to lope. So, Brooke is just riding him at a walk/trot to get some saddle time on him. I told you guys it was NOT LIKE JOE to buck! So, Now We Know. I promise to get him looked at ASAP. I really think it is soft tissue, so, not much can be done but heal. I do want to get both boys to a chiro ASAP. However, finding one is hard. OK, that is my long winded chat for the day!! Oh, and Bobby, I like my tunes!

Hurricane Ike

OK, now, this is two storms that we have panicked about. BUT, this one frightens me a lot. Not sure why Gustav did not strike this much anticipation in me, but Ike....I dont know...He is HUGE and we will be on the east side or the center of the storm. Either way, we will be hit. I am very glad that I no longer live in Orange. But I wish I still lived in College Station. Yeah, I know it will rip through there, but not near what we will get out here. I have a plan of action right now. We are closing the office at 1:30pm today. I will go pick up my prescriptions including the zanax to help me sleep during all of this mess then I will head to the house. I plan to start washing ALL laundry NOW. I also plan to put things like Ruger's urn in the cedar chest. Then, I will do a million loads of Laundry and try to secure special things. Next, I will load the air mattress and bedding into the truck along with some bowls for the dogs. I am gonna put the big dog kennels in the horse trailer then hook my truck to the trailer. I am thinking that I will come up to the office and sleep Friday night. I dont trust my house with all the BIG tress around it. OK, enough fret. Stay safe!!

I Borke My Butt

OK, i broke my tailbone and sprained my neck. I am sitting on a doughnut cushion and wearing a neck brace. No riding for me for at least 2 weeks...Sigh....Jeff is going to have to take up the slack. He was laughing at me last night.....Bad boy....The ER doc was great!! He had a good sense of humor!! Anyhow, I will be OK. I came home from work so I can lay down. Doc says I will be better off lying down today. I can return to work in the morning. I went in this morning to get things started. The pain shot he gave me late last night wore off around 10am. Yeah, it was not good. So, anyone want to come ride Gabe and Joe for me? Anyone want to haul them both to the chiro?

Just Incase You Are Worried...

OK, I have decided that after Jeff gets done mowing, we will make a trip over to Lufkin to get a Doctor to look me over after my crash. My entire spin hurts. My head is still throbbing. I went ahead and made dinner early. I figured we can wait just a little. I have a nice sized goose egg on my seat bone and I am guessing my tail bone is bruised. I have some swelling in my hands and feet. Kinda weird. My neck is all stiff now too. Main thing is, I can feel the pain from the base of my skull to the tip of my tail bone. Does not feel muscular. More like bone ache. Basically, I am worried that I jammed my spine hard enough to mess something up. So, I am going to get checked out today.

Oh Snap!!! I am NOT A Bronc Rider!!!!!!!!!

My Ass HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, so Joe has had about 6 weeks off. I rode him yesterday and he rode great. I warmed him up in the round pen for about 5 minutes before climbing on....he is two...I do that.... Anyhow, He never offered to buck and really has not offered to buck since back in March. I get on him. We long trot and lope both directions in the round pen....so far, so good. I take him out of the round pen and we walk. Good....all good. We trot....good, all good. We begin to lope...NOPE, not gonna lope!!! Instead, we are gonna launch!!! This colt can buck now, I tell ya.... He has this thing about getting his back legs all the way up over his head....Then he brings that front end up and comes back down in a completely different direction!!! Fish Tail Deluxe. I am pretty sure i made it to the whistle, but not much longer. I found the horn. Normally, the horn is NOT my friend. Again, this proves true. I also managed to grab his face and the top of the headstall. Spurs grabbed too though and that is NOT good. I remembered that and turned my feet away from his sides. Then we go up 3 more times and I go to the side. Joe bolts and I drop on my neck, shoulder and ASS!!!! I think i might have bruised all four, upper and lower front teeth along my ass, hip and some how I managed to get grass in my pants and my bra... blah I am sitting up long enough to type this, but not sure how long I can do this. Soooooooo, here I am, alive and bruised. OH and hubby was home. I hollered 3 times for him and he was there to tell me to sit still. I did get back on Joe and loped him in the round pen. I dont like to end this way, so I ran him 4 laps and got on him. OUCH is all i can say....But we did lope several laps before I just could not do it any more.

WBR

Well, i went to WBR this weekend! No, i did not win any Money and to tell ya the truth, I did not do so good. Our warm-up run was nice. I bobbled a little coming off the first barrel, but Gabe actually turned it nice! We ran a 17.444 and a 15.48 won the race. So, we were two places about the 4D...... No money. I did buy the picture though!! Its a great picture!!! My Open run was 9 hours from my warm up race run. Gabe was ready to run. I was ready to run. For some reason, I pushed him coming out of the holding pen thus throwing us off balance a little. I had two hands on the reins, like i am suppose too. I felt his shoulder drop about 5 strides to the barrel and I went to pick it up, he thought I said turn, so two strides out, we turned. :( Yup, we ducked, but it was not the case of "I dont want to turn" more the case of "Mom, are you sure? Cause you are telling me to turn, but its not time yet" Anyhow, we had two good barrels on that run. I was mad and I was PUSHING him through the rest of the pattern. Man, I need to get made more often cause he would have kicked butt if we did not duck!!!
As for the rest of the weekend, Gauge was bell of the ball. I got so many compliments on how well behaved she is for 6 months old!!! I bought my Baby Girl a bling dog collar! She is so purdy with it on!! She did her thing in the trailer where she insisted on being in the bed 24/7 All was good till Monday when she was put up there unexpectedly and she ate 4 of my winning runs DVDs...grrrrrr...But, all in all she did good!
Joe came along for the ride too. All i can say about that is He is GOING to learn to back out of the trailer. We had a goof up and loaded him in the rear slant. He does not back out of a trailer.....Um, yeah, finally, he tried to turn around and got stuck. I am so glad that he is calm, cause it could have been a really bad disaster! Anyhow, after he got stuck, a guy crawled in the trailer with him and pushed his shoulder around. He is a little sore, but not broken.
Oh, one more thing. We survived the hurricane. I so wish that the stupid storm could have waited a while cause my co-pilot worried herself senseless about the stupid storm!!!
