OK< Shelly, this one is for you!

Well, I have been sorta busy!!!! Gabe has not been ridden as much this month due to all the stuff to do!!! Jeff and I went to Vegas for 8 days. Went to the NFR and looking back, we had a great time! Came home SICK with a double ear infection and a really bad Fibromyalgia Flare Up!!! My back was freaking out as well as all the muscles in my body. The ER doc in Vegas doped me up and sent me home. Got back and went to my Doctor cause I could not stay on hydrocodone....Well, my doctor here, even though she is only a PA, was on the ball. Gave me a Rosephyne Shot for the ear infection (antibiotic) and a pain shot to settle me. She then increased my flexrail and put me on Lycria. So far, the Lycria is helping some. I also got a Tins Unit which is awesome!!! Great for my back!!! We have it on loan for now to determine if it is a good therapy method, if so, then the rep will go to bat with my insurance company to get it for me.
Other News, Joe is growing fast!! He is almost out of a 74 blanket and is as tall as Hick, the 3yo...I guess that makes him about 14.2 hh!!! He is huge!!! He still is a Cryptorchid, but, my equine dentist, who raises race horses, told me that breeding him once or twice would allow that other testicle to fall. So, since we dont have the money to geld him right now due to Ruger's Expenses, We decided to let him cover my two mares on their foal heat. They are both due in March. Once they are confirmed in foal, we will have him gelded. There is a Vet around here who can ultra sound, but, we might wait to see if they come back in before we have him do it cause he is not very good! LOL.
I have only been on Hick 4 times this month due to our vacation and my illness. I planned on riding him and Gabe today as well as working Joe in the Round pen, but, its raining. Maybe after I get home from shopping, I can go ride!!!

Ruger is not so good. He is now eating only Chicken and Brown Rice with Chicken Broth along with some essential oils and a powerful antioxidant called NingXia. He seems fine when we go to the barn, but, he is starting to show some neurological issues as of last night. Example, Just now, he jumped up on the couch and tried to get on top of the computer.....very not like Ruger. He is under foot every chance he gets as of yesterday. Last night he got on the couch and laid down....suddenly he jumped down as if something bit him and ran to the bedroom....He quickly returned and asked to get back on the couch....5 minutes later, he did it again....5 more minutes passed and he jumped off the couch and laid down on the floor. I dunno what that was all about. Then he decided to go to bed cause I was on the computer really late.....Around 1AM he came out of the bed room, ran over to me then back to bed........His lymph node is still pretty big, but, i did notice a decrease in size shortly after putting him on the new diet with the EO's and the Antioxidant. The abscess on his face seems to be decreasing as well, but, I found a new lump on the back of his head.....where the muscle ends......Please pray for him. I dont want him to suffer. I will insert a picture of how happy he was the day before yesterday when I took him out to ride with Gabe and I!!! He has gone out twice to ride and every time I go to the barn!!!

Christmas was interesting!!!! Jeffs Folks came in town for the Day..yup, just for the day. The brought all the food needed to make dinner...even the butter and sugar. At first I was worried that his mom had no faith in my cooking skills, but, later I found out that she was told that both Jeff and I were really sick and I was bed ridden....She was worried that I had not been to the store in a while. Anyhow, I had my Mom's dressing that she had made for Turkey Day and put in the freezer for Christmas ( we made too much) and I was not hesitant to pull it out to cook!! Jeff's Mom was thrilled cause his dad makes a very very bland dressing due to a bad stomach. So, she was excited to try Mom's!!! They were very friendly and happy to be here!!! No stress at all! I hugged both of his folks when they got here and they greeted me with open arms to Jeff's surprise. :) We uloaded the Mini Van and proceeded to have Christmas! His Mom reviewed all the wedding photos i had printed off! She really liked them so I gave her the whole album to take home . She was thrilled! Both his folks were very chatty and were laughing! I really don't think that Jeff knows his parents at all!!
